First off, I would like to say that everything in life has a balance of their strengths and setbacks. Each political party also has their pros and cons. I personally believe that problems get resolved based on compromise, which is something that I feel is not practiced as much in today's world of politics. That's why I do not reside with EITHER party, I have my own thoughts and beliefs hence why I consider myself an Independent. As for my beliefs, I lean more Conservative because their ideology and goals make a lot more sense. The thing that I cannot stand is hypocrisy, why is it okay for people to preach their advocacy towards others who are in their own allegiance, but for those who see the world differently, are getting a different style of treatment.
In 2016, I was not of age to cast a vote on who should be president, honestly, I wasn't even thinking about wanting to involve myself in politics. When I found out that Donald J. Trump won the election, I did not know how to feel, was I supposed to be scared? Was I supposed to not show any emotion? When I returned to school the next day, I heard most people talk about Russia hacking the results, one girl even cried her eyes out. When you're in high school, you do not want to stand out, so I a-boarded on the Donald Trump hate train just like everyone else.
When I started community college, I went from a biological sciences major to a business major. It was close to midterm election season and I noticed that a LOT of people were telling me to register to vote. Many people were hounding me to register really badly, I didn't know why at the time. I kept telling them, I wanted to stay out of it because I believed it just causes a lot of problems. I eventually registered to vote on the day of midterm elections, I registered myself as "No Party Preference" since I didn't want to add on to the ongoing divide. It's clear to me now as of why I was getting pressured to register, they wanted more Democratic voters to fulfill their agenda and make sure it ALWAYS gets fulfilled.
I was starting to notice that whatever I was studying in business, is almost exactly what Donald Trump was doing in his presidency. In business, you want to make sure that the people you serve are happy and satisfied. Most companies have a loyalty program where you have rewards and certain advantages to exclusive deals. The Americans are a part of the loyalty program, therefore we need to be taken care of first. However, I started noticing that people want the immigrants being TOP priority, how are we supposed to take care of the incoming immigrants if the problems in America have not even been solved yet?
My biggest mistake was voting for Joe Biden in the 2020 election. At the time, I felt like I did not have enough positive information on Trump, until it was too late. I didn't realize how good of a job Trump did, despite his "WTF tweeting storms". The stuff that Biden has been doing is honestly stupid, he's letting immigrants just come on over, he's signing a lot of free money away to people, and he has a vice president that refuses to do her job.
